Richard Price
Chairman and Independent Non-executive Director

Richard was appointed Chairman of EDI in January 2005, having joined the Board in 2003. He is co-founder and retired Chairman of BPP Holdings plc, the UK leader in the field of postgraduate qualifications training for accountants, lawyers, tax specialists, actuaries and other financial professionals. A chartered accountant and tax specialist by training, Richard is a Non-executive Director of AIM quoted Tikit Group plc, Chairman of the British Association of Performing Arts Medicine, a Council Member of the Royal College of Music and Chairman of Action Medical Research.

Nigel Snook
Chief Executive

Nigel joined the Board of EDI in May 2001 and was appointed Chief Executive later that year. Nigel has over 30 years experience of working in and leading both private and public sector organisations which provide training and employment services. Before joining EDI he was Chief Executive of Lantra, the Sector Skills Council for the environmental and land-based sector. He is actively involved in local vocational education, training and guidance work as a Director of the Coventry, Solihull and Warwickshire Partnership.

Jenifer Moody
Education and Development Director

Jenifer Moody joined the company in 2000 and was appointed to the Board in July 2007.  Jenifer is responsible for all aspects of qualifications development and compliance. Previously she has taught and held senior positions in examinations boards, including the University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate. Jenifer's PhD is in assessment design and she is a founder Trustee and Director of the Institute of Educational Assessors.

Sir Bryan Nicholson
Senior Independent Non-executive Director

Sir Bryan is the retired Chairman of the Financial Reporting Council and a former Director of Equitas. He was previously Chairman of the Post Office, BUPA, The Manpower Services Commission, The Council of the Open University and Cookson Group plc, and Chancellor of Sheffield Hallam University. Sir Bryan has also served on the Boards of Rank Xerox, Lucas Varity plc and GKN plc.
 

Barrie Clark
Independent Non-executive Director

Barrie holds non-executive directorships with a number of public and private companies. He is the non-executive Chairman of IS Solutions plc and chairs and sits on a number of remuneration and audit committees. He was the founder of the Link Organisation plc which merged with Spring Group plc. His various roles at Spring Group plc included non-executive Chairman and senior independent non-executive Director. Barrie's executive background focused on financial and operational management in small to medium sized businesses.

Paul Bird
Finance Director

Paul joined the company in June 2008 as Finance Director and is responsible for both the finance and business support functions. Paul has financial and commercial management experience gained in both the public and private sectors. He was most recently the Finance Director of AIM listed software business EG Solutions plc and has previously held financial and commercial positions in regulated and support service businesses including South Staffordshire plc and the Virgin Airship and Balloon Company.
