There has never been a better time to provide quality work-based training leading to Apprenticeships in partnership with EDI.
What is an Apprenticeship?
Apprenticeships are work-based training programmes designed to meet the current and future needs of industry and commerce. They provide long term benefits for employers and enable individuals of all ages to gain accredited and recognised qualifications while developing their skills, knowledge and understanding in paid employment.
Sector Skills Councils work with employers and awarding organisations to create an Apprenticeship framework which sets out what each apprentice has to achieve. These frameworks cover a wide spectrum of jobs in a range of industries from business administration to catering.
Apprenticeships are supported by the Government and are the flagship vocational route. Significant public funding is available for Apprenticeship programmes with the aim of increasing the number of people starting an Apprenticeship to more than 350,000 each year.
