Information for Employers

People in a meeting

EDI works with employers around the world to help support skills development and raise performance in a variety of ways. This could include helping a company to review its in-house training programmes and, if necessary, gain accreditation; it might simply be helping a company to access qualifications and other training opportunities.

With a wide range of nationally accredited vocational qualifications from Basic Skills in Literacy to a Level 4 NVQ in Management, EDI can support companies to fulfil their training needs. Some employers may prefer a tailored approach, with EDI’s bespoke programmes and online assessments to support their existing in-house training. "Train the Trainer" programmes are also available to assist in the development of in-house trainers. In addition, EDI can help meet employers’ regulatory requirements with qualifications in Health and Safety, Disability Awareness and Employability Skills.

For employers outside the UK, EDI offers qualifications under the LCCI brand in a range of subject areas, covering all the key functions of business; from English language to financial qualifications, customer service and administration.

The quality of employer devised in-house training programmes and customised awards is monitored through a thorough audit of quality standards and the educational process of the training programme.

Thanks to its excellent reputation and commitment to quality, EDI’s approval of employer devised programmes is already utilised by a number of major blue chip employers bringing significant benefit to learners.

EDI also offers employers a range of services including a customised electronic assessment delivery system, an electronic portfolio system and, in the UK, high speed broadband.
