EDI products and services for schools
EDI's range of qualifications, awards and assessment solutions can help you to measure pupils’ progress and performance, integrate qualifications in to the national curriculum and support teacher development in the following areas:
- GOAL online assessments – designed for schools to measure pupil performance and progress whilst giving diagnostic and formative feedback that supports effective teaching, learning and target setting.
- Diplomas – new qualifications for 14-19 year olds. EDI has been accredited to award the principal learning for three diplomas from 2009 and is currently developing principal learning for two other diplomas.
- Vocational qualifications at school – NVQs, SVQs and VRQs in a range of subjects suitable for learners of all ages.
- Skills for Life qualifications – essential skills required by learners of all ages to prepare them for work, training and every day life. EDI’s provision includes Key Skills, Basic Skills and Core Skills.
- Foundation Learning Tier (FLT) – a set of credit-based units and qualifications from Entry Level through to Level 2, to help learners progress through work and life. EDI is involved in developing FLT qualifications and already offers Functional Skills in English, Mathematics and Information and Communication Technology.
- Teacher training and professional development – a suite of qualifications for teachers hoping to improve their teaching skills or progress into educational management.
- English language qualifications – EDI’s range of internationally accredited qualifications includes English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), aimed at short and long term visitors to the UK. Also available for learners of school age are JET (Junior English Tests) and other English language qualifications under the LCCI brand.
- Decision Making Readiness (DMR) – an online package to measure the decision making competence of young people and adults.
- Dedicated bandwidth from EDI – a dedicated hi-speed broadband connection available through Fusion, part of the EDI group of companies.
