What is the Qualifications and Credit Framework?
- The Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) is the new framework for recognising accredited qualifications in England, Wales and Northern Ireland
- It is a flexible credit-based qualifications framework that enables qualifications to be tailored to meet individual requirements
- Most of the qualifications on the NQF will be migrated to the QCF by 1 January 2011
- The QCF is already in existence and contains many credit rated qualifications
EDI is currently reviewing and redeveloping qualifications for the QCF. Individual qualification changes will be notified through the Sectors and Timescales pages of the website.
